Pumpkin Patch

Here we are - lost in the corn maze. And I mean lost. We never found the exit. We finally escaped out the entrance. One woman we met was marking the trail with ears of corn. We thought she was being funny until we couldn't find our way out!

Last Saturday, (am I really this far behind in posting?!) we visited Jane and Paul's Farm in Norfolk, MA. It was BEAUTIFUL! And that is an understatement. The colors of the trees surrounding the farm was amazing. Some of the photos that Keith took look fake, but I promise, no photoshopping has been done. This is strictly God's handiwork!

Jonathan thought Ben was the coolest thing ever! And Ben told me several times that he thought Jonathan would grow up to be a really great cousin.

We looked out the window one morning to find a family of wild turkeys hanging out in the backyard. Some were even brave enough to roost on the back porch. They took cover in the woods when they heard the kids!

The kids were super excited to play with their cousins and had a lot more energy than the adults. So, we took them to this great playground to run off some of their excess energy.

Jonathan and I were lucky enough to have an empty seat beside us on the first flight!

Jonathan crashed on the first flight of the morning. Sadly this was the only real nap he took on any of the flights.

We left last Wednesday for a trip to Boston to visit Keith's family and celebrate his parent's 40th Anniversary. It was Jonathan's first flight and the trip there was much easier than the trip back. I strongly recommend flying early in the morning rather than late afternoon, which we did on the way home. No one napped and Jonathan was teething, but we survived. All I have to say is Thank You God for portable DVD players! We had a great time and stay tuned for more great pictures of fall in New England...

We have a CRAWLER!

So, on Saturday, Jonathan figured out forward crawling. He was motivated by the cat, who is horrified that there are now two mobile creatures to chase him. And of course Jonathan learns this skill four short days before we board a plane to Boston. *sigh* And with his new skill, we have discovered how non-baby proof this house is. Plants and outlets and bookshelves, oh my. Everything has been moved up a level, including Andrew's play area.

Yesterday he screeched in panic, "Mommy! He's crawling! Put him in something!" I laughed and tried to redirect Jonathan, which is not an easy task seeing as how, he thinks Andrew and everything he has is the coolest stuff on earth. I see a lot of refereeing in my future!

Markers

This is what happens when I'm on the phone and forget to put the markers away...

This was also the same day that I let Andrew run around half naked in a feeble attempt to get him to go to the toilet. I turned around and he was putting his pull-up on, so I foolishly helped him thinking he was ready to get dressed. Two minutes later I asked him if he needed to go to the bathroom and he said, "No, I already went in my diaper." The little stinker took the time to put his pull-up on rather than run to the bathroom. AAGGHHH!

Everyone tells me that he will not wear diapers to college, but I'm beginning to wonder!
