Well, I broke down and got Andrew's hair cut today. He doesn't look like a baby anymore! And of course he couldn't get his hair cut the conventional way by sitting in the chair. No, not our Andrew. He had to have his hair dresser cut his hair while sitting on the floor next to the TV and Elmo. And then he had to run around the room and test out all the chairs while I tried to hold him down so that he had a semi-normal looking hair cut. Ahh, the joys of being almost 21 months old. The hair dresser did a great job and she was very flexible with our little wild child!

Basketball
Well, we are almost to the two-week mark since Keith's shoulder surgery. He's recovering, slowly and is now suffering from a bad cold, which he has been kind enough to share with me. The good news is that he doesn't have a lot of pain anymore and gets to start physical therapy this week, so I'm sure the pain-free days are short lived! He and Andrew have also found a way that they can still play, just a more gentle version. Andrew's new thing is "baball" and "GO." Sometimes if you listen closely, you can hear a little L sound at the end of Go for goal, which is what we yell when he throws it in the basket. Maybe we should invest in a real basketball goal for the poor deprived child!
Spring is here?!
We are enjoying a BEAUTIFUL weekend, temps in the mid-50s. We are starting to believe that winter is finally over, but we're a little scared to get our hopes up! Andrew is loving the warm weather and yesterday he helped me organize the garage by shoveling most of the dirt from my flower pots onto the garage floor. So, we found an empty pot for him to play with outside. Our fun ended when Andrew stepped off the curb wrong and sat in the water. After I snapped a picture of him, and helped him up, he informed me the water was "Cold!" And even though his pants were all wet and it was time for dinner, he still wasn't ready to go inside.
Oreo Cookies and a snot nose
Andrew has had a tough week with a bad cold and a touch of the stomach bug, or maybe lots of drainage caused the stomach trouble. It's just a big guessing game. Anyway, he ate a good supper for a change, so he was rewarded with an Oreo, which he loved. Sadly his mother didn't wipe his nose before she started taking pictures. Ahh, such is life.

A Perfect Day for Sledding
Today we went sledding down the highest hill we could find in North Dakota with Paul and Amy. Well, some of us went sledding and some of us tried to keep Andrew warm and from falling in the knee deep snow. Andrew didn't like the sledding so much and his boot came off shortly after we got to the hill so he thought the next logical step was to take off his sock, which I explained was NOT a good idea!

snow, snow and more snow
It's been snowing for what feels like weeks, but it's only been a couple of days. And today I shoveled, so I can tell you that I'm getting a little tired of the snow. Plus it's not safe to go into town with the snow blowing across the highway. I heard that they were closing the highway between the base and town today due to the whiteout conditions. Ahhh, such a lovely March day! I use to think March meant spring was around the corner, but it sure doesn't feel like it today! Anway, here are some new pictures of Andrew playing in the snow. He loves the snow. Wait till he's big enough to shovel!
