Petersons Visit!

Silliness at dinner

The three S's - screens, snacks and silence!

Manicure time

Brenna was a master Lego creator

These photos are out of order, but I'm too tired to fix them. Here's Hannah showing off her bright green manicure!

Sydney mailed us Flat Stanley and he cheered for the Shockers in the Final Four. Sadly they lost, but they made it to the Final Four, which is more than any other Kansas school could say this year.

Pool noodle or swords? - boys will be boys!
The Peterson Ladies came to visit the first week of April. This visit was extra special because instead of just visiting, they were here to house hunt and school shop! We are so excited that they are moving back and are going to leave a mere 20 minutes away instead of 2 days by car. This is the first time Jill and I will live in the same state since we got married. It's been almost 12 years, and that is 12 years too long.

The week went by in a blur, with lots of bonding of our children. Unfortunately, Sydney was sick for almost the whole week with a mysterious fever. Poor girl was so miserable, which is why she isn't in very many of these pics. But even sick, the week was a success. Jill found a house and a school and we are so very excited to see them again in a month or two!

More Easter Fun

Our girly-girl
the boys on the hunt for eggs

Hannah found a pair of Sondra's old sunglasses that we had converted to play glasses as children.

We went to Hutch for Easter dinner. The boys had fun hunting for eggs with their cousins. Hannah didn't join in the fun because she was too scared of Buster, the dog, who is harmless. But she did have fun going through our old toys. It was a busy, but fun Easter.

Easter in Hutch

Hannah likes to wear glasses - these were Sondra and my old sunglasses, found and worn by Hannah.

Miss Movie Star - "My future's so bright I gotta wear shades!"

Easter Egg Hunt - Hannah wasn't interested in participating because she was too afraid of Buster, the dog.

The loot!
We celebrated Easter evening with the Eigstis and the Grandparents. Dinner was yummy as always and the kids had a great time playing and hunting for eggs.

Happy Easter!

I took this right after church, and Hannah took her bows out on the way home and the boys both took off shoes and socks. At least they are still cute.
Checking out their Easter bucket loot.

"Hey, whatcha got in there Androoo?"

Someone enjoyed her strawberry Tic-Tacs.
While Hannah napped, the boys dyed eggs.

Merry Christmas with Grandpa and Grammy

We had Grammy and Grandpa live with us via Skype so they could watch the kiddos open their presents. Hannah was a little shy/overwhelmed so her tongue is out in almost every picture. *sigh*

The boys got the Imaginext dragon and ogre

Hannah got a portable Minnie Mouse karaoke machine. The flower is the microphone. Grammy bought this when she was in town visiting and Hannah was with us while we shopped. She would not let go of it the whole time we were in Target, and we had to be creative to get it away from her in the car. So, she was very happy to see this toy again!

And the Imaginext castle. To say they were excited is an understatement!

Hannah wasn't too sure what to think of the "roar!" She only felt safe when one of us was holding her.

The boys wasted no time getting the castle and all of its accessories set up.

Hannah chose to move her pet stroller upstairs away from the scary "roar."

At the end of the day, she finally decided the castle was OK as long as Daddy was nearby to protect her.

Merry Christmas from the Fleurys

Andrew and his new Angry Bird matchbox race track.

I'm sad this is blurry. Hannah was super excited about her new baby and had to take a bath with it that night.

Jonathan and his new Thomas train friends

Andrew has some trouble containing his excitement over his new Legos.

Jonathan in his Thomas dress-up clothes. How cute is this outfit?!
Thank you Fleury family for all of our wonderful Christmas presents!

Christmas presents from the Petersons

We let the kids open their presents from the Petersons a few days before Christmas. New books are always a hit, unless they are the dreaded Maze book. (Actual title: "Maze, Solve the World's Most Challenging Puzzle.")This book has caused so much stress for Andrew because it is virtually impossible to solve and that just doesn't fly with him. But on a plus side, it has kept him very busy and greatly improved his reading skills! The book Jonathan is holding is hilarious and we highly recommend it. "Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs" by Mo Willems

Thank you Peterson family!
