Swimming?
Kansas received record amounts of rain in July, which meant cooler summer temps and ditches full of water. Unfortunately, the children aren't used to seeing ditches full of water and thought this was a great new swimming option at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Andrew also found a little turtle and named him Mr. T and was very sad when I told him he couldn't come and live at our house.

Celebrating the Fourth

Fishing at Grandpa's pond

Andrew caught one!
While the big boys fished with the daddys and Grandpa, the little ones played with Grandma.
These two are T.R.O.U.B.L.E!
Grandma found bubble guns for the kids and Hannah was the happiest girl in town!
Look out, Grandpa! You are under attack from the littlest grand kids.
Then it was time for some fireworks.
Hannah wanted nothing to do with the firework fun and stayed on the porch the whole time yelling for us to come and play with her.
The sunset was A.mazing!
Hannah wanted to help me catch some shots of the sunset, so I took some of her running in the ditch. It was not easy to catch this girl on the move!
One of my favorites!
"Look! I'm not scared of Buster anymore!"
And yes, she is running barefoot on the dirt road. Feet.of.steel!
And then it was time for some 4-wheeler rides.

More Easter Fun
Our girly-girl
the boys on the hunt for eggs

Hannah found a pair of Sondra's old sunglasses that we had converted to play glasses as children.
We went to Hutch for Easter dinner. The boys had fun hunting for eggs with their cousins. Hannah didn't join in the fun because she was too scared of Buster, the dog, who is harmless. But she did have fun going through our old toys. It was a busy, but fun Easter.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Grandma and Grandpa giving the three youngest grands a ride.
Grandpa and the kiddos
Grandpa and the babies, who aren't really babies anymore!
Hannah was so scared at first, but once Buster got out of the way, we couldn't get her off the Ranger.
little helpers
Umm Hannah, the broom works best on the hardwood.
We had a very relaxing Thanksgiving. It was just us, mom and dad and the Eigstis. The cousins played hard all day and the weather was perfect for playing outside. Al and Dorothy stopped in for dinner and then we all went home and crashed. A great day spent with family!
