On Saturday, we headed over to the Argetsingers for their annual Easter egg hunt. The kids had so much fun and the adults had a little chance to chat and catch up. This was the boys' first big egg hunt and they loved it! Andrew asked me today when it will be Easter again because he is ready to look for more eggs. We may need to discuss the real meaning of Easter a little more next year...

The Zoo
Andrew waited the whole day to see the hippos. They are truly his favorite animal at the zoo. I think if he had his choice, we would spend our whole visit to the zoo at the hippo exhibit. Our visit to the hippos goes a little like this: Run to the top to see them come up for air. Run to the underground area to try to see them swimming in their tank. Run back to the top. Run back to the bottom. Run. Run. Run.
While Jill, Sydney and Brenna were here visiting, we made a trip to the zoo. I know we've been multiple times and see all the same animals, but the kids LOVE it. They would go every day if I would take them. We met Grandma Jan and Grandpa Marvin there and GiGi tagged along. (Jill's grandma was offended that she was asked if she would like to tag along. She responded by saying, "What? You don't want me to lead?!) She cracks me up! We had a great time and everyone was very tired at the end of the afternoon. Especially the moms!

Hannah 6 months old stats and sitting up!
Hannah had her 6-month well baby today and she is doing great but still a peanut! She took her shots like a pro. She gave a little startled jump with the first one and then started screaming. But as soon as it was over and I picked her up, she stopped crying and gave the nurse a nice big smile.
weight: 14 lbs. 4 oz. (14 percentile)
weight: 14 lbs. 4 oz. (14 percentile)
height: 24 1/2 inches (9 percentile)
head circumference: 18.375 inches (99 percentile)
She is actually quite proportionate. Not sure why her head is such a high percentage. It really isn't that big compared to some of her little friends who are younger than her!
At 6 months old, you are trying to sit up, but still have a little round-bottom syndrome. You can roll ALL OVER the floor and get to things you shouldn't. (Baby proofing has begun, again.) You've tried baby cereal, but you aren't a very big fan of it. You love to blow raspberries and are so drooly. I think you might be working on your first tooth. And you have finally discovered the wonders of naps! It took a little trickery on our part - we moved your swing in your bedroom and now you take a nice hour and a half to two hour nap in the morning and about 2 hours in the afternoon. You will even take a third nap some days if you are super tired. You are still very smiley and no one believes that you ever cry, which you don't very often. You are such a sweet baby and love to watch your brothers. And they love you too!

Tea Party
This week Hannah had her first tea party with the boys. She was more interested in eating her cup than playing along, but it's a start. And maybe she's a little young for imagination play, but who could resist when her brothers asked so sweetly for her to play with them?! And yes, she is mostly naked. She was in the process of getting dressed when they asked and frankly, I think she looks like she was having more fun before she got dressed!

Rolling Over!
Yesterday, Hannah rolled over from back to tummy. I missed the action the first time and was a little confused to find her in a new position. Later I caught her in the act. She wasn't too sure she liked her new skill, but Jonathan was very proud of her and wanted to take a picture with her. Another milestone in my baby's life - 5 1/2 months old. S.L.O.W. down Hannah! You need to stay little a little while longer!

Grammy and Grandpa!
Grammy and Grandpa came to visit this past week. We had lots of fun reading, playing, and eating. Unfortunately their visit had to end and everyone was very sad when we took them back to the airport yesterday! Andrew kept asking me why they had to leave. Thank you for coming to visit. We loved having you here!
